Taieri Gorge Train

Taieri Gorge Railway takes you from the hustle of Dunedin's city center, through the rugged Taieri Gorge with dramatic scenery that cannot be seen by road, to beautiful inland Otago, and return.  There is a variety of landscapes from the city to farmland, forests and the Taieri River Gorge.

For the return trip they have to remove the engine and then change it  from the front of the train to the rear which then becomes the front.
